Wellington, FL – January 27, 2015 – Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) welcomes Fidelity Investments® as a returning sponsor for the 2015 Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL. Fidelity Investments® has been a sponsor of the Winter Equestrian Festival for eight years, since 2008, and a presenting sponsor of the Great Charity Challenge (GCC) since its inception in 2010. Additionally, Fidelity Investments® is the title sponsor of week four’s CSI-W 5* competition on January 28-February 1, 2015, which will feature the $372,000 FEI World Cup™ Grand Prix CSI-W 5* presented by Fidelity Investments®, on Saturday, January 31.
The Great Charity Challenge is an exhilarating pro/amateur event in which amateurs are paired with world-class riders and randomly assigned with charities to compete for prize money raised by equestrian families and corporate donors. This unique competition awards a sliding scale of prize money to each of the 34 randomly selected charities in Palm Beach County. Over the past five years, over $6.2 million has been given to more than 100 different area charities as a result of the GCC. This year, event producers hope to exceed their fundraising goal of $1.75 million. Held under the lights of the International Arena at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, the GCC will be held on Saturday, February 7 at 6:00 p.m.
“All of us with Fidelity Investments here in Palm Beach County are delighted to be involved with the Winter Equestrian Festival and with the Great Charity Challenge. It’s an exciting 12 weeks of world-class equestrian competitions, with the GCC as a highlight. We are proud to be involved with an event that helps so many charities in Palm Beach County,” said Russell Binkley, Manager of Fidelity’s Investor Center on Palm Beach Island.
