Press Release – The 2017 Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) finished out its third day of competition at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC), in Wellington, FL, with a win for Suzan Pape (GBR) and Harmony’s Don Noblesse in the FEI Grand Prix Special CDI-W, presented by MTICA Farm.
Week one of the AGDF, the Lloyd Landkamer Memorial presented by the AMCI Group to benefit Brooke USA, will conclude on Sunday, January 15, with the FEI Intermediate I Freestyle. The circuit resumes January 20-22 with the CPEDI 1*/2*/3* Para Dressage, presented by Mane Stream courtesy of Rowan O’Riley, Mission Control, Adequan®, and Nutrena. The 2017 AGDF hosts seven CDI events, two CPEDI competitions, and national shows through March 25.
Suzan Pape (GBR) and Harmony’s Don Noblesse, a 2007 Hanoverian stallion (Dancier x Descana x Don Davidoff) owned by Harmony Sporthorses, ended their day with a score of 68.118% in the FEI Grand Prix Special.
“It was his first Grand Prix Special ever, so I had to help him a lot. He (Harmony’s Don Noblesse) was prepared on the movements and with what was coming. I’m very, very proud of him,” said Pape.
Pape also has Harmony’s Don Noblesse in a talent squad for up-and-coming Grand Prix horses with the British Federation, and competed him just before Christmas in the German Developing Grand Prix Championships for the Louisdor Cup at CDI Frankfurt, where the duo placed third.
“Maybe in the long run, we will do a bigger CDI or a national championship in England or even a bigger championship. Let’s see what happens!” said Pape, regarding the future of the pair.
Placing second to Pape in the FEI Grand Prix Special CDI-W, sponsored by MTICA Farm, was Michael Klimke aboard Djamba Djokiba, a 2007 Westfalen gelding (Damon Hill x Whoopy x Wessex) owned by Klimke, with a 65.980%. Third place was awarded to Christilot Boylen (CAN) and Drentano, a 2003 Hanoverian gelding (De Niro x Brenda Lee x Brentono II) owned by Deborah Miculinic, with a score of 63.667%.
Other classes of the day included the FEI Intermediate II for Amateur, won by Gabriela Stumpf (AUT) and Finally Love, a 2006 Oldenburg gelding (Farewell III x Winzerin x Harvard) owned by Stumpf, with a score of 65.079%. The FEI Intermediate A for Amateur, sponsored by Horseware Ireland, awarded the win to Patricia Koschel (GER) and Leuchtfeuer DE, a 2003 Hanoverian gelding (Londonderry x Duene x De Niro) she owns, with a score of 66.167%.
In her second victory of the day, Gabriela Stumpf rode Stereo Love, a 2007 Hanoverian gelding (Sandro Hit x Lanzarote x Londonderry) to the top of the FEI Prix St. Georges for Amateur, sponsored by Mane Stream and Rowan O’Riley, with a score of 62.132%. Christoph Koschel (GER) and Ballentines 10, a 2008 Hanoverian gelding (Belissimo M x Weltina x Weltmeyer) owned by Hof Beckerode GmbH, finished with a win in the FEI Intermediate I with a score of 70.184%.
Competition at AGDF will resume tomorrow with a full schedule of classes, including the
