Press release – Lexington, KY – Brooke USA is excited to announce the addition of Olympian Kasey Perry-Glass as a Brooke USA Ambassador. Perry-Glass and Goerklintgaards Dublet were members of the bronze medal winning 2016 U.S. Olympic Dressage team.
“I’m so excited,” said Perry-Glass. “My main motivation for becoming an ambassador for Brooke USA is our mutual love for the animals, and the importance of caring for them. They work so hard for us. The impact that Brooke has in so many countries in terms of educating people on proper care of their working equines is amazing. It was very inspiring to me to see an organization like this. It’s very close to my heart and I feel like it’s the perfect match. I’m honored to be a Brooke USA Ambassador.”
A native of Northern California, Perry-Glass began riding at the age of five and competed in three-day eventing before turning her focus to dressage in high school. She currently divides her time between her Wellington, Florida, winter base and Hailey, Idaho.
Brooke USA supports the overseas work of Brooke, the largest international equine welfare charity with a long track record of successfully improving the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules in impoverished regions of the globe. Brooke has been providing sustainable solutions to many equine welfare issues for 83 years. This year alone, Brooke reached an astounding 2 million equines, benefiting 12 million people in countries where many people earn less than a dollar a day.
Perry-Glass came to Brooke USA via fellow U.S. Dressage team member and Brooke USA Ambassador Allison Brock. She is passionate about the work that Brooke does around the world and eager to help raise awareness.
Brock is thrilled to have her Olympic teammate join her as a Brooke USA Ambassador. “As Brooke USA has become more active in recruiting Ambassadors, Kasey immediately came to mind,” Brock said. “She is an animal lover and an excellent horsewoman, she’s incredibly compassionate. She’s absolutely the type of professional we want representing this organization. I’m excited to have her on the Brooke USA team.”
Perry-Glass is looking forward to doing everything that she can as an Olympian and high-performance dressage rider to raise awareness of the important work that Brooke USA does.
