Contestants anticipated include, for example, the leader of the Longines Global Champions Tour ranking and number two in the world Christian Ahlmann (GER), Olympic and twice World Cup winner Steve Guerdat (SUI), double world and European champion Jeroen Dubbeldam (NED), twice GLOCK’s Grand Prix winner John Whitaker (GBR) and GLOCK’s 5* Grand Prix title defender Pius Schwizer (SUI).
Spectators can also look forward to performances by the powerful German Daniel Deusser (No. 11 in the world), Marco Kutscher (No. 14 in the world), Marcus Ehning (No. 23 in the world), Irish superstar Bertram Allen (No. 9 in the world) along with strong female rider Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS – No. 18 in the world).
The appearance of London 2012 Olympic Games twice silver-medal-winner, team-world and European champion Gerco Schröder is keenly anticipated. The GLOCK Rider will be travelling with GLOCK’s Cognac Champblanc N.O.P., GLOCK’s Lausejunge and GLOCK’s Zaranza to his ‘second home’ and will join his fellow team members from the Netherlands at the forefront of competition at the GHPC.
Keep your fingers crossed for the red-white-red stars
Austria will also be sending its best athletes to the GHPC. At the CSI5* you’ll have the chance to spur on European championship contender Max Kühner (T), Roland Englbrecht (OÖ), Astrid Kneifel (OÖ) and twice Austrian national champion Gerfried Puck (St) as well as up-and-coming Christian Rhomberg from Vorarlberg.
