The first competition final at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER was contested today by 20 determined riders, namely that of the GLOCK’s Amateur Tour. Those seeking a chance of victory were obliged first to master the basic round over 1.35 m without faults in order then to enter the jump-off.
Seven participants cleared the first hurdle, while five remained free of faults over the shortened course. Of them, clearly the fastest was US-American Hilary McNerney. “Today I simply wanted to give it a go! My horse really fought on my behalf, we worked well together and ultimately did a good job!” stated the GLOCK’s Amateur Tour Final winner. With her ten-year-old horse Contact, progeny of Con Air, she took just 37.42 seconds for the jump-off course, pushing Carinthian Klaus Hernler with Bovidius B to second place (0/41.14). Nina Barbour (GBR) with Douglas Delight won the GLOCK’s Amateur Tour competitions on Thursday and Friday. Today it was an immaculately clear round in 43.04 seconds in the jump-off for third place.
