Hickstead and Dublin as final test for Aachen

It is expected that the final team list of the British will be anounced after the Dublin Horse Show where the next leg of the Nations Cup series will take place.
For the British team, the bar is set high at the European Championships, yet it is their last chance to qualify for the World Equestrian Games in Rio in 2016.
Although the team manager can draw on a pool of good riders, however, some of them are not available with their number one horses. So, for example, John Whitaker said, that his top horse Argento is not available for the European Championships. The same applies to Hello Sanctos, the number one horse of Scott Brash.
While Whitaker as justification stated that Argento not feel well on large grass arenas, Brash want prevent to overwork the horse, because he will start with Hello Sanctos at the finale of the Rolex Grand Slams on 9-13 September 2015 in Calgary.
In yesterday’s Nations Cup Holly Gillott (Dougie Douglas), Ben Maher (Diva II), Jessica Mendoza (Of T), Michael Whitaker (Cassionato) and Guy Williams (Titus II) took part for Great Britain. The team finished with eleven penalty points from the two rounds at sixth place.
