The international equestrian arena in Samorin (SVK) is a real paradise for riders and horses alike. Perfect conditions, high-class competitions and an equally high-class field of riders are ideal to compare yourself with the international scene. That is exactly what EQWOteam rider Natala Belova (RUS) did during the CSI2* Equestrian Festival – and her results spoke volumes!
Riding four horses – Upset des Cinq Chenes, Ferdinand, Quick Shine and Cosimo – the 21-year old European Championship contestand was able to get a ribbon with all of them. Natalia kicked the weekend off with a 12th place riding her Ogano Sitte-son Upset des Cinq Chenes in the Gold Tour over 1.45 m (find the article here).
Her six-year old prospect for the future Ferdinand (by Clinton I x Cantos) did a great job, too and finished eigth in Saturday’s Youngster Tour (1.25 m). Yet another eight place was achieved by Natalia and Quick Shine, a dutch bred offspring of Numero Uno, in the 1.40 m class. The competition in Samorin came to a fabolous end on Sunday. Natalia’s Cosimo, aka “Cosi” gave his comeback in a World Ranking List Grand Prix and delivered on point. The combination stayed clear both in the first round and the jump-off and finished sixth. Not only was Natalia the best placed female in this class, she was also nominated as one of the Leading Lady Riders of the weekend!
