Livestream_GHPC_EQWO_194x125pxThe list of riders at the international Season Opening at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER from January 28th till 31st 2016 will make equestrian sports fans’ pulses race. Because the range of contestants, covering around 80 athletes from 15 nations, represents a veritable equestrian sports star parade!

Heading the elite squad is recent World Cup leg winner and number 24 in the world, Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA). This speedy Italian goes to the start line with a Mediterranean temperament and three fast horses. The goal? Perfectly clear: victory in GLOCK’s 3* Grand Prix! Something that GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder (NED) is after too. The twice World Champion, four-times European Champion and twice Olympic silver medal winner will be coming to his “home tournament” with four GLOCK horses and joining the fray in both the CSI3* and the CSIYH1*.

William Whitaker (GBR) is hoping for double victory. This off-spring of the famous Whitaker clan achieved a win in the GLOCK’s 3* Grand Prix in 2015 and also holds four young-talent European championship medals.

His compatriot Jessica Mendoza, is amongst the fastest female show-jumping riders and, in 2015, was part of the British team in the European championships in Aachen. She too has four medals in her trophy collection and was awarded the FEI Longines Rising Star Award in 2015 as well as the Raymond Brooks-Ward Memorial Trophy.

Kenneth Cheng (HKG) is a far-travelled rider. He is from Hong Kong and succeeded in winning the bronze medal for his country at the Asian Games in 2010. Ireland’s Cameron Hanley and the Dutch Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix Magna Racino winner Gert-Jan Bruggink are coming to Treffen with a lot of championship experience. Just seventeen years old, Sanne Thijssen (NED) participated in one championship in 2015, but has already achieved wins in as many as 30 international show jumping tests over 1.50 m.

Local heroes around evergreen Thomas Frühmann (W), exceptional talent Stefanie Bistan (NÖ), European championship participant Markus Saurugg (St) and strong female rider Alice Janout (NÖ) can look forward to support from their compatriots.

Those who would like to experience the “Clash of the Titans” live will be able to do so every day from January 28th till 31st at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER. Entry to the event hall is free.
