French victory in Paris

Press release Longines Masters – You might be tempted to pinch yourself when you read the start list.  No, you are not dreaming. Olympic champions, world champions, European champions, the winner of the Longines Grand Prix of Los Angeles, all the current biggest names: the best riders on the circuit are meeting up in Paris for 4 breathtaking days of competition. This evening they got off to a gentle start, competing in a 1.45 m class, which some used as a warm-up but this was not the case for everyone.

He was there to compete… and he won! Julien Epaillard did not hang about riding Quatrin de la Roque, which lived up to his reputation. He was almost ten seconds faster than Simon Delestre, who rode the recently acquired Sultan du Château, while Denis Lynch and Ho Go van de Padenborre were third.

The rider of the Laiterie de Montaigu, a privileged partner of the Longines Masters, is a regular of the intercontinental series. He took part in the events in Hong Kong and Los Angeles and of course many of the editions in Paris.  “I love this series. The classes are superb and the celebrity and festive part of the event is a real plus compared to standard shows.” And he says that he even manages to take advantage of the event between classes.

And that’s very fitting as the gala evening is fast approaching. The Longines Masters of Paris is getting dressed up to the nines and is getting ready to host everybody who is anybody in Paris for a glamourous evening which will go on well into the night. Tonight more than ever, the world’s media will be focusing on this unique event,  as it will soon be time to be thrilled by Mario Luraschi’s show and dance at Gary Dourdan’s live concert, and above all, to finally hear the announcement that is creating a buzz.  An announcement that will revolutionize the world of show jumping.
