At the end of the second day of International Show Jumping, young talents under the saddle had the chance to present themselves in the arena of the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER. The 34 seven and eight-year-old horses gave very attractive performances in the 2-phase show-jumping test over 1.30 m and exactly twelve of them remained penalty-free.
The fastest time of 33.36 seconds was delivered by eight-year-old daughter of Con Air, Desiree v. Marienhof, under the saddle of Irish rider Cameron Hanley. “She is an excellent horse. I really think the odds are good for the finale on Sunday”.
Second place went to the similarly eight-year-old Zangersheide gelding Cougar Z G&C and his rider Cecilie Hatteland (NOR) in 34.12 seconds.
Third place went to the Belgian-raised daughter of Diamant de Semilly, Isibel d’O, under Jonna Ekberg (SWE) in 35.25 seconds. Scoring points for Austria were Christian Rhomberg (V) on Abby RZH (7th place) and Gerfried Puck (St) on J’Adore du Paly (9th place).
