Denis Coakley and Sterling Un Prince Race to Victory in $7,000 Open Stake at Florida State Fall Competition

Press release PBIEC – Denis Coakley of Lake Worth, FL, piloted Sterling Un Prince, owned by Matt Garrigan, to the win in the $7,000 Open Stake at Florida State Fall competition hosted at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) from Friday, September 23, to Sunday, September 26, as part of the 2016 ESP Summer Series.

Coakley and Sterling Un Prince finished the jump-off track in 32.644 seconds to out pace Luis Larrazabal of Wellington, FL, and G&C Close Up, owned by San Francisco Stables LLC, who crossed the jump-off timers in 34.746 seconds. Manuel Fernandez Hache of Miami, FL, and Al Calypso, owned by Aristides Fernandez Zucco, finished with a time of 34.552 seconds and an additional four faults for third place.

Taje Warrick of Wellington, FL, rode to victory in the Child/Adult Jumper Classic presented by Accuhorsemat aboard her own Dersey, as the pair finished the track in 34.853 seconds. Hailey Berger of Parkland, FL, and her own Shannondale Gino took second place adding nine faults to their time of 93.768 seconds in the first round. Maddy Fava of Sanford, FL, rode Pherson of Tora, owned by Jennifer Cunningham, to third place with a time of 87.114 seconds and fifteen faults.

The $1,500 M&S Child/Adult Jumper Classic presented by Accuhorsemat saw Hailey Berger and her own Shannondale Gino collect top honors in the class after finishing the only double clear trip of the division. The duo crossed through the timers in 31.927 seconds for the win, while Isabel Sanchez of West Palm Beach, FL, and Chino, owned by Anabelle Mejia, took second place after adding four faults to their time of 31.44 seconds. Taje Warrick of Wellington, FL, and Dersey added another top three finish to their weekend, taking third place with a time of 31.657 seconds and four faults.

Taje Warrick continued her domination in the jumper ring, guiding her own Mufasa to the jump-off in the $1,500 Low Child/Adult Jumper Classic presented by TuffRider & Equine Couture with a time of 28.018 seconds to take a strong win in the competitive class. Liana Gavidia of Jupiter, FL, and her own Quolibet D’Hem collected second place with a jump-off time of 31.212 seconds, while Laura Sornette of Miami, FL, and Hendrix, owned by Daniela Roy, took third place after stopping the jump-off timers in 31.849 seconds.

Alexia Thermiotis of Southwest Ranches, FL, and her own Her Otono took first place in the Low Junior/Amateur Owner Classic after finishing their jump-off round in 34.971 seconds. Nicole Loochtan of Hawthorn Woods, IL, piloted her own Memory Lane to second place after completing the jump-off in 35.341 seconds. Alexandra Cenci of Davie, FL, and Charisma, owned by Cenci Jumper, LLC, rode to third place after accumulating four faults in the jump-off and finishing their trip with a time of 36.677 seconds.

Emmanuelle Greenberg of Boca Raton, FL, and Vermeer, owned by Pumpkin’s Patch Farm, LLC, took divisional champion honors in the Children’s Hunter Division presented by UHealth Ear Institute, while Haley Farber of Boca Raton, FL, guided Let’s Dance, owned by Kelly Jones, to reserve.

The Junior/Amateur Owner Hunter 3’3″/3’6″ Division presented by #1 Education Place was championed by Ashley Briggs of Loxahatchee, FL, and her own Teaticket, while Ava Hoffman of North Palm Beach, FL, and Quigley, owned by Sweet Oak Farm, took reserve honors for their performances throughout the weekend.

Mia Albelo of Coconut Grove, FL, and her own Childs Play Hot Topic collected the champion rosette in the Medium/Large Pony Hunter Division. Emma Vandenhouten of Plantation, FL, and Jackpot, owned by Marigot Bay Farm, LLC, earned reserve champion honors.

The THIS Children’s Medal was won by Taje Warrick of Wellington, FL, and Capital Gain, owned by Arion Legends LLC, as the duo finished the class with a score of 87. Brooke Giacin of Southwest Ranches, FL, and her own Cassis, placed in second with an overall score of 84, while Erika Luter of Palm Beach, FL, and her own Lennon, earned third place with a score of 83.

Competition at PBIEC continues with the 2016 Rita & Irish Flynn Memorial, which will begin on Saturday, October 1, and conclude on Sunday, October 2. To see a full list of results please visit www.pbiec.com.
