Conor Drain (IRL), number one in the GLOCK’s CSI2* opening


GlockHPC_100Almost double Austrian victory today in the opening of the GLOCK’s CSI2* Tour. In the end, the two female riders Stefanie Bistan (NÖ) and Marianne Schindele (K) only had to give way to Ireland’s Conor Drain. He rode a scorcher of a clear round in the show-jumping test over 1.35 m in the saddle of the eleven-year-old KWPN gelding Zidane, thereby securing first place in 69.47 seconds. Covered in the GLOCK winner’s rug, the man from the “emerald isle” beamed happily while being interviewed. When asked, whether he thought that things might continue like this, he answered with a whimsical smile: “I surely do hope so.”

Stefanie Bistan, who had saddled Kennedy 2, son of Kannan, for the GLOCK’s CSI2* Tour, only just had to concede victory with 70.89 seconds. Marianne Schindele and her powerful Outlaw came third in 71.02 seconds.
