Bertram Allen (IRL) out of action
20 year old Bertram Allen (IRL) will have to take a break from riding for a while after a fall he had yesterday. At the CSI5* event in Treffen/Villach (AUT), the shootingstar gave his debut in the saddle of the eight year old stallion Hector Van D’Abdijhoeve (Cabrio Van De Heffinck x Utriolle Van De Heffinck).

At the fifth fence of the CSI5* Opening over 1,45 m the grey seemed to lose his balance, horse and rider fell. Both got up on their feet pretty quickly but Bertram immediately held his arm.
After the excellent initial treatment at the show ground he was transferred to a nearby hospital where he was diagnosed with a fractured collar bone. Bertram will now be treated in Germany.
We wish him a speedy and full recovery!
