Ben Maher’s Cella is again out
The 13-year-old belgian warmblood mare Cella (v. Cento) is again out of action. The vice-champion of the Europeans in 2013 may once again not, after the injury short before the World Equestrian Games in Cean 2014, compete in a big championship. The Chef d’Equipe of Team Great Britain Di Lampard says that the grey mare has only a small injury, but that she will not be fit to compete at the European Championships in Aachen in two weeks: „That is a big loss for our team, but most of all for Ben, because he was focusing so much on the Europeans.“

After her comeback three months ago, the mare was again jumping on the highest level and won a 1.60m class in Paris recently.
The European Championship in Aachen is the last chance to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. The two top riders Scott Brash and John Whitaker will both not bring their top horses Hello Sanctos and Argento to Germany. The british team for Aachen will be announced this weekend.
