Within the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Horses there is each year held a traditional Grand Prix only for stallions and the winners may call themselves the Zangersheide Sires of the World. Today German rider Marc Bettinger and the 11 year old stallion Bacardi (Balou du Rouet x Argentinus) took the competition by storm. In the jump off, Bettinger and Bacardi were almost 2 seconds faster than second placed rider Sam Polleunis (BEL) and the 9 year old Okidoki van’t Gelutt Z (Omar x Lux Z). British rider James Billington took third place with VDL Cartello (Cartani x Lord).
Tomorrow from 10 am the 5-, 6- and 7-years old horses go for World Championship Gold in the final competitions.
