Press Release | Showjumping – The Grand Prix of the Autumn Cup in Mijas has drawn to a close with a victory for Dutchman Doron Kuipers and Blackberry by Larino. This marks the end of the Costa del Sol Tour’s autumn season, which has enjoyed beautiful weather. This modern tournament venue in the province of Malaga in Andalusia has offered three weeks of excellent tournament conditions and international sport.
Kuipers achieved a well-graded round putting him ahead even of world-class Swiss rider Pius Schwizer with offspring of Cash and Carry PSG Future. Third place went to Portuguese rider Duarte Seabra with Fernhill Curra Quinn. The Costa del Sol Tour now enters a rest period before kicking off again in 2017 with the Winter Cup. A number of guests have already signed up, including Danish Nations Cup rider Lars Bak Andersen: “I just really like it here – you really get to see how the town lives – we can go to a different restaurant every day, you have a sea view, you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere! The riding grounds are great and the 2km gallop track offers perfect training opportunities. We really like it here and we’ll be back in February!”
The Costa del Sol Tour in Mijas – just a few kilometres from Marbella – offers the ideal start to the outdoor season for both riders and horses. ESE Equestrian Sport Events has taken over responsibility for the PR work and also of the parcipants.
