Alpenspan meeting point Mevisto Amadeus Horse Indoors

More than 700 horses, 500 dogs and a visitor record – and Team Alpenspan right in the middle! The talk is of the Mevisto Amadeus Horse Indoors 2016, which Team Alpenspan not only shook up with a sensational victory of Gianni Govoni in the Gaston Glock`s Grand Prix Salzburg. On one hand the Alpenstand exhibition stand was a true audience magnet where the Who is Who of the rider’s scene gathered – not only beause of the genius Kempke’s boots from Wolfi Pirker – on the other hand show jumpers Gianni Govoni, Gerfried Puck and Dieter Koefler, but also the reigning Austrian dressage champion Belinda Weinbauer impressively demonstrated their skills.

In the 4-star Mevisto Bi Tour Opening over 1,45 m Gerfried Puck (Styria) in the saddle of the ten-year-old Bionda (by Phin Phin) placed third with a faultless ride (69,15), ex aequo with triple Olympic eventing gold medalist Michael Jung (Germany). Team colleague Dieter Koefler (Carinthia) jumped in the same test aboard his 16-year-old gelding Golden Gun and placed twelfth (0/73,53).

Gerfried Puck and the ten-year-old Indorado x Quickstar mare Bo showed an excellent performance in the first qualifying round of the Gaston Glock`s Grand Prix Salzburg over 1,50 m and came eleventh (0/69,04), followed by the italian team Alpenspan rider Gianni Govoni on his eleven-year-old gelding Antonio (0/69,28). Only eight months ago Gianni started riding Antonio who’d been declared as unridable. The finish of their weekend in Salzburg is absolutely amazing and has to be admired: A grand victory in the CSI4* Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix Salzburg (0/38,52)!

The reigning Austrian Champion Belinda Weinbauer took the 12th place in the FEI dressage world cup aboard Soehnlein Brilliant MJ (72,397 %).
