Olympic Champions celebrated in Valence!

Earlier this day, a former Olympic medalist was in the spotlight… Michel Robert, for our greatest joy, proved that he hasn’t lost any of his talent by winning the Grand Prix CSI2*, Prix SFAM – GBG Assurances, to the acclaims of passionate, thrilled to watch their idol still riding at this level of competition.
Then, Laura Renwick had pursued her weekend of victories by winning this time the Prix Axeria, 1,50m speed class. First to go, the British rider knew how to lead her round and finish clear so that the next thirty-two opponents could never reach her clock of 61 seconds and 15 hundredths.
Finally, the Six Bars class and the victory of Alova Soloviova closed this sensational night at the Haras des Grillons. This high jump class is spectacular, thrilling, and breathtaking. At this game, the Ukraine rider was the best, and jumped 2,10m, unfortunately taking the pole down with her. Of course, we are still far from the world record set by Chili Aleberto Arraguibel and his thoroughbred Huaso who jumped 2,47m in… 1949. Because today, sport is less about power and more about agility and dressage, but the idea to reinstate this type of class is excellent, according to public’s adherence.
Last but not least day of competition this Sunday in Ratières! The appointment that you don’t want to miss is of course the Grand Prix CSI4*, early in the afternoon, but lots of surprises are in the program. Don’t miss out the latest news!
