Simon Delestre musste sich mit dem zweiten Platz hinter seinem Landsmann begnügen. Nur 20 Zehntelsekunden trennten die beiden. Nachdem sich Simons Pferd für Olympia verletzt hatte und er somit nicht an den Bewerben teilnehmen konnte, sattelte er diesmal Chesall Zimequest, einem elfjährigen Holsteiner, der schon seit Beginn des Jahres mit konstanten Leistungen überzeugt.

Dritte wurde die junge Schwedin Charlotte Mordasini auf Romane du Theil, einer efljährigen Selle Francais Stute.
