This year’s 5-star edition of International Show Jumping at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER is resplendent not only by virtue of its breathtaking environment, unique atmosphere and top-notch international show acts. Leading athletes from about 20 countries will delight all fans of equestrian sports with their performances. From June 16th till 19th 2016, spectators will be able to cheer along with the greatest stars of the equestrian world at the GHPC Austria.
“Home game” for GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder and title holder Pius Schwizer
For sure the twice Olympic silver medal winner at London 2012, as well as team world champion in Caen 2014 and team European champion, GLOCK rider Gerco Schröder (NED), will be able to count on particularly strong support from spectators. He will be coming to his second sporting ‘home’ with GLOCK’s Champions Ludwig, GLOCK’s Zaranza, GLOCK’s Lausejunge and GLOCK’s Debalia for the Young Horses Tour. Another of the returning guests at the GHPC is GLOCK’s 5* Grand Prix winner of 2015 Pius Schwizer (SUI).
This Swiss rider is the owner of a team bronze medal from the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing (CHN) and became European Champion with the Swiss team in 2009 in Windsor (GBR). In addition to his Askaria 3 and Tarioso Manciais, Pius will also take his young talent Lester IX along.
Olympic winners, world and European champions, the world’s number three & 30 of the top 100 are here!
The success list of Schwizer’s compatriot Steve Guerdat is truly impressive. This 34-year-old rider is the current Olympic winner, two-times World Cup overall-winner and team European champion. However, to date he has not yet managed to come top of the GLOCK’s Grand Prix. This year he’s planning to change that with his top horses Nino des Buissonnets, Albführen’s Happiness and Kavalier.
For the first time, also the world’s number three, German rider Christian Ahlmann, will join the five-star action at the GHPC. In the saddle of Codex One, Epleaser van’t Heike and Reavnir, he will surely give his competitors a good scare. Because, in order to beat the double European champion from Donaueschingen (GER) 2003, even giants like twice GLOCK’s Grand Prix winner John Whitaker (GBR) have to make an effort. ‘The Living Legend’ from Great Britain has an incredible collection consisting of one Olympic medal, four World Championship silver and three World Championship bronze medals, four-times European Championship gold, four-times European Championship silver and three-times European Championship bronze, two World Cup victories and four British master titles. At the International Show Jumping, he will rely on the fast Lord of Arabia and the always reliable Ornellaia.
Double World and European champion Jeroen Dubbeldam (NED) strives to triumph with the “Oranjes”; he will compete with SFN Zenith N.O.P. and Camilo LS La Silla in the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER arena.
Furthermore the audience can look forward to the performances of top female Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS) who will be saddling her brilliant mares Caretina de Joter and Questina. European Championship second Gregory Wathelet (BEL) is taking Chanel, Citizenguard Taalex and Eldorado van het Vijverhof along, Marcus Ehning (GER) will be relying on Funky Fred, KS Stakki and Singular LS La Silla. Bertram Allen (IRL) will fight for victory with Hector van D’Abdijhoeve, Izzy by Picobello and Romanov, whilst Lauren Hough (USA) brings Lady Davos and Ohlala.
Everyone who would like to experience the riding and ridden stars close-up will be able to do so from Thursday June 16th 2016 at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER.
