“Young guns” faster than the celebs at the VR Classics
Press release VR Classics – Maurice Tebbel “sprinted“ ahead of the competition: The 22 year-old german show jumper from Emsbüren claimed victory with mare Lava Levista in the international opening show-jumping competition of the VR Classics/ CSI Neumünster in the TRG Neumünster Prize. His father Rene Tebbel was satisfied with the result. “They both did really well”, enthused Tebbel Senior from his home.
Rene Tebbel is currently hobbling between his living room sofa and the kitchen. Just under a week ago he broke his foot, putting him out of action, so he is having to make do with following all the action via an internet live stream (www.clipmyhorse.tv) from 340 kilometres away in Emsbüren.
Haßmann and Meyer place
Felix Haßmann (Lienen) and Janne Friederike Meyer (Hamburg) have been continuing to leave the competition behind them. Haßmann already has the 2015 Neumünster Championship under his belt, and has now come second with Barolo H. Janne Friederike Meyer brought her young mare Chloé with her to the Holstenhallen. The 34 year old has high hopes for the future for the horse and the pair took third place.
Rendezvous at the Holstenhallen
Friday evening in the Holstenhallen is always abuzz with chat. It is when the title sponsor invites guests, organisers, riders and judges to a Meet and Greet. The “do” always provides plenty of interesting tit-bits, for example that Jessica von Bredow-Werndl from Aubenhausen, who is currently second in the World Cup, thinks the spectators in Neumünster are completely brilliant: “Two years ago I had the chance to ride here and Unee and I did really well. The spectators gave us such an incredible reception, with ovations and everything – it was such an incredible buzz”, said von Bredow-Werndl, “I’ll never forget it, it was just so wonderful.“
