WELLINGTON, Fla. (January 21, 2014) – Multi-platinum recording artist and four-time Grammy nominee Hunter Hayes will perform a full concert during the 2014 FTI Consulting Great Charity Challenge presented by Fidelity Investments® (FTI GCC). Hayes is set to take the stage Saturday, February 1, during the spectacular charity show jumping competition at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida. The event, which features some of the world’s top equestrians, is on track to raise and distribute more than $1.75 million dollars to benefit over 34 charities.

The FTI GCC, founded in 2010 by Mark and Katherine Bellissimo of Equestrian Sport Productions and their daughter, Paige, has distributed more than $4.2 million from the equestrian community to over 90 nonprofits in Palm Beach County over the last four years. This year, more than 400 local charities applied for a chance to be one of the 34 lucky participants in the running for the top prize of $150,000 with a sliding scale of prize money to the minimum $15,000 amount that every participating charity will win.

Four-time GRAMMY nominated artist, Hunter Hayes, is a multi-talented performer, musician, producer, and writer. His critically acclaimed Atlantic Records self-titled album garnered three consecutive No. 1 singles, selling over eight million singles to date while the album itself has been certified platinum by the R.I.A.A. His current Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance for his No. 1 single „I Want Crazy“ marks his fourth Grammy nomination off his debut release. Hunter is currently featured as one of Forbes Magazine’s „30 Under 30“ and has played over 500 dates since 2011. The Louisiana native has headlined sold out venues across the US and Canada and recently wrapped the sold out CMT On Tour: Hunter Hayes‘ Let’s Be Crazy tour this past fall.

Mark Bellissimo commented, „The FTI GCC has had a significant impact on Palm Beach County during very difficult financial times for many families. It is so gratifying to have such a great talent like Hunter take time from an extremely intense recording schedule to support this event. It speaks volumes about his character.“

Paige Bellissimo added, „The FTI GCC is a unique event that allows us to raise awareness of the diverse charitable organizations throughout the community. One-hundred percent of the funds are distributed to charities and put to work immediately. The event gives a ‚leg up‘ to the many heroes that lead these deserving nonprofits. Hunter has been very generous with his time and talent, just like our rider teams, sponsors and partners who support the effort.“

As gratitude for his contributions, Paige has added a new twist, where a 35th team will be created which will compete on behalf of a Hunter Hayes‘ charity, „MusiCares.“

Anne Caroline Valtin, Executive Director of the FTI GCC, outlined highlights of the family-friendly evening on Feb. 1 which includes many dining options, shopping, a petting zoo, magicians, street performers, face painters, carousel rides, children’s fair, and more.
