Pressrelease A Coruña – The international jumping competition of Casas Novas began in a dazzling way, with a high level of riders, good results for the Spanish participants and a memorable performance of Lorenzo.

21 riders who competed in the big test of the day, the Massimo Dutti Trophy, competed for qualifying for the Sunday’s the World Cup. There were only place for 13, so they all have fight till the end.

With the stands at full capacity, the riders showed their competitiveness and great displays of technique and speed. After a hard dispute, the winner was the rider René López, who stopped the chrono in 38.21 on the back of Twig du Veillon. The Colombian came out last in the jump off of the test and handled the pressure of brilliant way. The test was extremely competitive, as there is only a few tenths of difference among the top five classified of the jump off. Nice performance the ones of the Colombian, who was also in the podium of the previous test.

In second place and within short distance, the Dutch Maikel van der Vleuten was placed riding VDL Groep Arera C. The third position was for the Spanish Sergio Álvarez Moya.

In addition to these riders, among the classified for the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping CaixaBank Trophy thanks to his good performance in this test, Aldrick Cheronnet, Jane Richard Philips, Lauren Hough, Athina Onassis o Carlos López standed out.

With the stands practically complete, the CSI 5 * began at Casas Novas with the celebration of the NH Collection Trophy. The trophy went to France, to the rider Mathieu Billot as a winner ridding the equine Radja des Fontaines with a time of 54.95 seconds. Billot continues with his good year-end, as he also had a great performance at the recent Madrid Horse Week.T he second classified was the Colombian René Lopez, with 56.73 seconds riding Big Brother. The inaugural day of the CSI of Casas Novas has started with the celebration of the Turkish Airlines Trophy, competition of the CSI 2*, the first opportunity to see the pairs on the arena of the equestrian center. The Spanish anthem played for the first time in this edition of Casas Novas in honour of the horsewoman Leticia Riva Gil who stopped the time in 61.41 seconds and zero points ridding Pink. Pressemitteilung A Coruña – Gestern startete in La Coruña (Spanien) das internationale Springturnier auf 5*-Niveau im Zuge des Longines FEI Word Cups. Das hohe Level der gezeigten Leistungen lässt auf ein tolles Turnierwochenende hoffen.

In der Massimo Dutti Tropy, dem Hauptbewerb des Tages über 1,50m, starteten 46 Reiter. Gleich 15 davon kamen ins Stechen und machten diesen Bewerb zu einer spannenden Sache. Am Ende siegte der Columbianer Rene Lopes auf Twig du Veillon. Die neunjährige Selle Francaise Stute fegte im Stechen regelrecht über den Parcours und beendete die schnellste Runde des Tages in 38.21 Sekunden. Zweiter wurde der Niederländer Maikel van der Vleuten auf VDL Groep Arera C, einer elfjährigen KWPN Stute, in 38.37 Sekunden. Den Heimvorteil nutzte der Spanier Sergio Alvarez Moya. In 38.39 ritt er auf seiner achtjährigen französisch gezogenen Stute Unicstar de l’Aumone zum dritten Platz.

Davor ging es schon in der NH Collection Trophy heiß her. Dieses Zeitspringen auf höchsten Niveau gewann der Franzose Mathieu Billot auf dem elfjährigen Selle Francaise Wallach Radja des Fontaines (0/54.95 Sekunden). Dahinter belegte der Columbianer Rene Lopez auf dem zehnjährigen KWPN Wallach Big Brother den zweiten Platz (0/56.73). Dritter wurde der Portugiese Sabino Luis Goncalves auf Teck de Riverland. Der neunjährige Selle Francaise Hengst und sein Reiter benötigten 57.59 Sekunden für den Parcours.
