What an exciting final! The new Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Champion Steve Guerdat (SUI) was last to go in yesterday’s big final in Las Vegas (USA). He knew he had to finish with less then nine penalty points – otherwise he would have had to go into a jump-off against Penelope Leprevost (FRA) and Bertram Allen (IRL) to secure his victory.
The reigning Olympic Champion kept the tension up until the end. He had two faults with Albführen’s Paille and managed to stay just within the time allowed (67,76) and therefore secured the victory by 0,24 seconds.
