Whilst Alpenspan Team rider Gerfried Puck opened the season at the Magna Racino in Ebreichsdorf (Lower Austria), “Jumping Amsterdam” (26.-29.01.2017) welcomed some of the world’s best riders, including Alpenspan team rider Gianni Govoni.
47 horse-rider-pairs went into the first round of the Provincie Noord-Holland Prize over 1,45 m on Sunday, 29.01.2017. Amongst them were big names like Hans-Dieter Dreher (Germany), Jérome Guery (Belgium) or the winner of the main competition on Friday, Jur Vrieling (Netherlands). 12 of the nineteen pairs qualified for the jump off remained fault free for a second time. Alpenspan Team rider Gianni and his fourteen-year-old AES mare Winn Winn (Chin Chin x Wagenaar) kept their nerves and won masterfully in 30,81 seconds.
The italian rider scored on Saturday aboard the twelve-year KWPN gelding Antonio. The two remained fault free in the Anemone Horse Trucks Prize over 1,50 m in the time of 39,32 seconds, which placed them on fifth place.
On the same weekend Alpenspan team rider Gerfried Puck presented the eight-year-old KWPN gelding Elroyal at Magna Racino (Lower Austria). In the test over 1,30 m the pair remained fault free an cam twelvth (61,04). Over 1,40 m they occupied rank six (0/57,19).
