Last weekend the Team Alpenspan professionals Dieter Koefler (K) and Peter Gmoser (B) showed their skill at the CSI2* at the Arena Nova (NOE) and at the CDN-A* in Gerasdorf (NOE). The offspring seemed to copy the big ones: Lena Binder (NOE), eleven-year-old daughter of Alpenspan team boss Anton Martin Bauer dominated the pony tour at Arena Nova.
Alpenspan goes Apropos Pferd
Together with Hugo Simon and Jur Vrieling Dieter Koefler is one of the longstanding regulars at the international jumping tournament as part of the Apropos Pferd. That’s not the only reason for joy for the Alpenspan family: The 25th Apropos Pferd was a success in both sporting and economic counts for the men in green coats. For Dieter Koefler the weekend started off well on Thrusday with a fault free round with Lindbergh 2 in the Youngster Tour over 1,20 m (0/63,55) and a fifth place with the thirteen-year-old Armitage-son Askaban in the Big Tour Opening over 1,40 m (0/59,86). The success continued on Friday: rank twelve aboard Lindbergh 2 in the Youngster Tour over 1,20 m ( (4/50,09)) and a third place in the Big Tour (1,45 m) with Askaban (0/34,24). The Highlight on Sunday was an excellent fifth place (4/43,54) with Askaban under the saddle in the International Jumping Competition over two Rounds (1,45 m).
It’s already a tradition that the Alpenspan booth in the upperfloor attracts all the big names. “Mr. Alpenspan” Wolfgang Pirker and his team know about the possibilites that the fair in Wr.Neustadt offers and uses this opportunity for networking, advertising and make new contacts.
Like father like daughter
Lena Binder proved that her fathers footsteps are not too big for her. The eleven-year old daughter of Alpenspan team captain Anton Martin Bauer was aboard Donduro on Friday and on Saturday unbeatable in the Pony Tour (1,15 m).
Good times and bad times for Peter Gmoser in Gerasdorf!
In the meanwhile the dressage star in the Alpenspan team, Peter Gmoser, struck in Gerasdorf close to Vienna at the CDN-A* – he stood four times on top of the podium during the weekend. He showed the Hannoveranian gelding Banderas 7 in the dressage test Kl. M for 6-year-old horses and received the score of 7,96 on Friday and 7,90 on Saturday. Aboard the ten-year-old KWPN mare Blue Bayou he won the preliminary qualifier of the Viennese Championship Small Tour with 69,825 %. Peter Gmoser also showed his skills in the dressage horse tests Kl. A for five- and six-year-old horses. With the five-year-old gelding Bacary he came third (7,82) on Friday and won on Saturday (8,04) EVEN THOUGH his team had been the victim of a theft on Saturday.
