Guglielmo Fontana and Whiz Wild West lead Open Futurity qualifier

CM | Reining – From March 25 to April 1 2017 the exhibition grounds in Cremona (Italy) are hosting the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Futurity. The Paid Warm Up for Futurity horses took place on Sunday (26.03.2017) and on monday the biggest show outside the american continent started with the first go-round of the Open riders. Nearly 100 horse-rider-pairs from eleven nations (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Israel, Canada, Netherlands) gave their best to get into the finals.

Two times 75.5 and three times 74.5 – those were the scores the NRHA judges (Manuel Maiocchi (Italy), Dean Latimer (USA), James Gerdes Hansen (Denmark), Jan Boogaerts (Belgium) and Jeff Petska (USA) awarded to Italy’s Guglielmo Fontana on Whiz Wild West – 1,5 points ahead of NRHA Million Dollar Rider and multiple World Champion Bernard Fonck (Belgium) with Spookebility (223.0) and Missedouttinseltown (222.5).

Level 2 is led by Fabio Polesel (Italy) and Black Gotta Gun (218,5). After scoring a 216,5 two Italians win Level 1: Sebastiano Valtorta and Four Season Whiz and Matteo Cuniglio and RS Canaletto Jac.

After the first Go-Round Rudi Kronsteiner with Shine N Dixie and Markus Gebert with JM Walla Big Star from Austria lie ex aequo on 39th place (214.5). The Consolation Run Level 1, 2, 3 & 4 Open takes place on 28.03.2017.

Red Collar Tag, owned by Austrian Sabine Lisec, came sixth after the first Go-Round (220.5).

The first Go-Round of the Non-Pros also takes place on 28.03. As in the consolation run pattern 8 will be ridden.
