In the beautiful city of diamonds Antwerp (BEL) the riders were ready for the warm up: the qualification for the big class Longines Global Champions Tour of Antwerp. 46 riders had to master the 1,55m high and hard course, where they could also grab some poiints for the Longines Ranking.
Unbeatable and over two seconds fast than the runner-up, was Kevin Staut and Quismy des Vaux HDC (Dollar dela Pierre x Super de Bourriere) for France in incredibly fast 33,58 seconds in the jump-off. His eleven year old mare and he stayed clear in a really fast round and Staut was happy when he was driving with his new BMW in the prize giving.
The winning couple of yesterday’s biggest class ended on second place: the in Belgium based Brazilian Marlon Modolo Zanotelli and Zerlin M (Berlin x Concorde) stayed clear in a time of 35,31 seconds and gained 12 300€ prize money. Third place went to Karim Alzoghby (EGY) with his bay mare Colour Girl (Cormint x Locato). The pair showed a really nice clear round in the jump of in 36,81 seconds.
The main class of this show, the Longines Global Champions Tour of Antwerp, will take place tomorrow saturday at 18:15 o’clock with jump-off after the first round.
