EQWO.net News Service | Alpenspan Team News – While Belinda Weinbauer (Burgenland) finished last weekend (08.-11.06.2017) with a personal international record score aboard Soehnlein Brilliant MJ Lena Binder (Lower Austria) and Gerfried Puck (Styria) rode for Austria at the nations cup in Wierden (Netherlands) and Sopot (Poland). At the same time Gudrun Pirker (Styria) celebrated a comeback with Alpenspan Citadelle at the Lake Arena in Lower Austria and the Italian Alpenspan rider Alessia Rossi did her best in Cattolica (Italy).
Belinda Weinbauer and Soehnlein Brilliant MJ’s success story started in the middle of 2016 and their performance curve keeps rising upwards. At the international CDI4* in Achleiten (Upper Austria) Belinda Weinbauer succeeded with a personal record. With the 15-year-old Hanoverian gelding the Alpenspan team rider achieved 76.825 percent. “I am so happy with Soehnlein!”, Weinbauer rejoiced after their success. The pair is a great prospect for the European Championship in Gothenburg (Sweden) from 21 to 27 August 2017!
The youngest rider in Team Alpenspan Lena Binder was part of the Children Equipe at the Nations Cup in Wierden (NED) last weekend. Even though Team Austria did not make it into the second round this time, Lena was more than satisfied with her performance. She remained faultless with her Lancelot. In the Children Grand Prix over 1.30 m she managed to reach the finish line in the saddle of the 15-year-old Westfalen gelding of Lupicor with just one time error. The daughter of Alpenspan team captain Anton Martin Bauer came 15th in the strong field of 70 international riders.
Greencoat Gerfried Puck was part of the Austrian Nations Cup team with his eleven-yearl-old KWPN mare Bionda at the CSIO5* in Sopot (Poland). Together with his team colleagues Christian Rhomberg (V), Roland Englbrecht (OOE) and Max Kuehner (T) he finished seventh in the FEI Nations Cup of the European Divison 2.
Gudrun Pirker was at the CSI1* at the Lake Arena in Wr. Neustadt. After the injury related pause she celebrated a succesful comeback with her mare Alpenspan Citadelle. A fourth and a second place in the Small Tour over 1.20 m with her 18-year-old mare gave reason for joy!
For Alessia Rossi it also ran well in Cattolica (Italy). With Larissa della Verdina she placed eighth in the Grand Prix over 1.45 m with a faultless ride in the jump-off. Her seven-year-old youngster by Jarnak x Mouguet do Monier presented herself excellently. She did not touch a pole and remained faultless on all three competition days.
