Less than three weeks before the big event: Madrid Horse Week
Madrid, The biggest multidisciplinary equestrian event in Spain soon celebrates its third edition, and this time expands its sports programming to offer the public a show and an unprecedented event in our borders
The establishment of Horse Week in Madrid last year as leg of the World Cup Jumping, one of the most important tests worldwide, has not stopped its organizers to make Madrid as one of the main horse capital. Thus, this year is also set to host the FEI World Cup Vaulting and Driving, the first one unprecedented in Spain and forgotten since the first celebration in Vigo more than 10 years the second.
Top-level participation in MHW
The 50 entries for the CSI5 * already complete and the CSI2* is almost completed. Madrid Horse Week will feature the most important figures on the international scene, among which are: Scott Brash, current leader of the Longines FEI ranking for more than a year ago, the Swiss Steve Guerdat and German whole team of the European Championships of Aachen.
Regarding the FEI World Cup Driving, they are already confirmed the five participating driver, including Boyd Exell, six times winner of the World Cup and three times world champion of “Four in hand”.
In the FEI World Cup Vaulting we will have the participation of 7 vaulters, among which are: Simone Jäiser, current leader of the FEI ranking, and Daniel Kaiser, fourth in the ranking.
For the CDI3*, 14 international riders have already confirmed their attendance and 7 national entries are still pending, but we can say that Beatriz Ferrer Salat, bronze medal in the European Championship of Aachen, will also be in MHW.
Official presentation of Madrid Horse Week
On Tuesday November 17 at 11:00 will take place at Plataea a breakfast presentation of the third edition of Madrid Horse Week.The event will be attended by: Daniel Entrecanales, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, who will present the program of the next edition of Madrid Horse Week; Javier Revuelta, President of the Royal Spanish Equestrian Federation, which will highlight the importance of the equestrian sector in Spain and the importance and benefits of the event; and Sergio Alvarez Moya, current leader of the national ranking of Jumping.
