Press release Sunshine Tour – Bruce Goodin riding Centina 10 and Guy Williams with Depardieu van’t Kieze took 2nd and 3rd respectively in den GP class sponsored by the Ayuntamiento de Vejer.
The Italian rider Luca Moneta had a fabulous round in the most important class of the day, the Big Tour D sponsored by the Ayuntamiento de Vejer and today’s FEI Longines Ranking class. Riding Neptune Brecourt he stopped the clock in a very fast time of 68.20sec which proved unbeatable by the rest of the competitors. The New Zealand rider Bruce Goodin with Centina 10 was closest, stopping the clock at 70.45sec, whilst the British rider Guy Williams with Depardieu Van’t Kieze was 3rd in 71.35sec.
The Brazilian rider Felipe Amaral with Babalou Amor won the 1.45m Big Tour C, with Yazmin Pinchen with Chilli in 2nd and Tim Page riding Steady the Helm in 3rd. The Big Tour B class had a very British flavour, Robert Bevis and Vogue were 1st, Chloe Aston with Amigo T 2nd and Matthew Sampson with Billy Tortilla 3rd.
Mathew Sampson again won in the 1,35m Big Tour A2 riding Dolanda. Chloe Aston was once again 2nd with Chateau de Brion Quainton and Max Routledge con Carus Royale took 3rd place.
The British were also victorious in the Big Tour A1, once again Tim Page was a winner with Duc D’Arsouilles. The Belgian rider Virginie Thonos with Kosovo was 2nd and Joe Whitaker with Shearwater Uparda was 3rd.
Once again the Brits were well represented in the amateur clases Kayleigh Watts took both 1st and 2nd in the Classic Tour D, with Eburon Van´t Nachtegalehof and Charmeur respectively. The Italian Filipp Tabarini with Gipsy of Heritage was 3rd. Eleanor Jane Hall Mcateer also won two classes, Class B with Dazzle II and Class A with Blush.
The competition will begin at 9.00 tomorrow with nine new classes in this second week (of five in total), of 3* International Shows at Dehesa Montenmedio The most important class tomorrow will be the Longines Ranking, Small GP which will begin at 12:00 in Ring 1 The Hickstead arena.
