Traverse City, MI – July 17, 2015 – Stadium Jumping, Inc., organizers of the all-new Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, is honored to announce that Heather Irvine, of Bloomfield Open Hunt Club is a sponsor of this year’s four-week event. A Michigan native, Irvine is pleased to show her support for the summer circuit at beautiful Flintfields Horse Park, just outside Traverse City.
Irvine operates Hillside Farm out of Bloomfield Open Hunt in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, home to many top horse-and-rider pairs. She also serves as an R judge for Hunter/Equitation classes and gives back to the equestrian community in various ways. Irvine demonstrates her dedication to the industry by volunteering for various committees, including the USHJA National Hunter Derby Task Force, the Judges Task Force, the United States Equestrian Federation Licensed Officials Committee and the National Hunter Committee.
„I love the area, and I’m from Michigan, so it’s nice to see our shows as a highlight of the series season,“ Irvine said. „It’s nice to be here in the summer. We’ve watched the show evolve from the other venue to Flintfields Horse Park, and it’s exciting to see this facility improve each year. I think it’s one of the prettiest areas around.“
Irvine praised Flintfields Horse Park owner Karin Flint for her passion for the sport and vision for the future. „Karin Flint is amazing,“ she said. „She wants this place to be a premier facility,“ added Irvine. „We are thrilled to have four weeks of top shows here. We don’t have very many horse shows in Michigan and none of this quality. This is it!“
The festival is set on 88 beautiful acres and showcases five world-class competition rings in addition to spacious schooling rings, convenient on-site campgrounds, and The Peninsula Group at Morgan Stanley VIP Club, making for a truly unique attendee experience.
