Pressrelease Sunshine Tour – Emma Augier de Moussac was on brilliant form today winning both of the two top classes. In the Cadena Ser Big Tour D, riding Kanonja, their jump off time of 41.07 sec kept her ahead of Julio Arias, who rode Farah Van Klapscheut into second in a time of 41.31 sec. Billy Twomey with Tin Tin, just slipped into third in 41.34 sec and the Belgian rider Boy-Adrian Van Gelderen with Be Cool took fourth in 42,69 sec. Joao Pereira from Portugal riding B no added another rosette to his collection taking fifth place in 43.29 sec.
On her other horse Copia, Emma Augier de Moussac, flew to victory in the Big Tour C with a time of 28.19 sec in this two phase class. British rider Joe Whitaker with Diola had a time of 28.89 sec and took second place with third place being won by Brazilian rider Pedro Veniss in 29.19 sec with Ibero Van De Noordheuv.
In the 1.40m Big Tour B, Joe Whitaker had his win on Lavarno. Billy Twomey again was in the rosettes with GK Casper taking second, and the British rider Robert Bevis with Etude, took third.
In the A2 class, Lance Whitehouse riding Miss Belvedere gave another British win with Spanish rider, Antonio Mariñas riding Diamondloma, in second and Swedish rider, Hedda Wallin with Bienvenue in third.
In the A1 class the winners were first; Venezuelan rider Gustavo Arroyo with G and Luca Brasi, second and third; the British riders Mark Armstrong with Balougio III and Douglas Duffin with Pyjama Jack.
There was a British one, two in the 1.40m Medium Tour; Matthew Sampson with Perfect Rouge beat Simon Crippen with Atlanta VIII, whilst in third was the Spaniard Eduardo Álvarez riding King Kong.
In the 1.35m Medium Tour Greg Broderick from Ireland took first place with Cartouche V Overis Z. In second was Faye Adams from GB riding Ebriolita and third was Spaniard Enrique Camiruaga with Tati Lulu D’Aubigny.
Greg Broderick also won the Medium Tour 1.30m class riding Alberta Mist, beating fellow Irishman Sean Cubitt with Creevagh Gent into second and Spanish rider Castora Ortiz with Bizzy Boy into third.
Today’s Small Tour winners were British rider Eleanor Hall Mcateer on Dazzle II, Shiekh Samir Mirdad on Mirdads Hubbb Aaashaa and another British rider, Jake Ward with Falballa de Messitert.
This 4* International Show continues tomorrow, with overall prize money of 204,500 euros. The FEI Longines Ranking, Small GP tomorrow has prize money totalling 24.600 euros.
