German tourist killed by donkey in Greece

A german woman was on a cruise ship with her husband and the two wanted to visit the greek island Santorini on Wednesday (7th oktober 2015). There the tragedy came to happen.

The boat dropped the anchor in the port of the old town Fira, where donkeys are used as taxis to bring the tourists up the steep and narrow streets. According to the Greekreporter, one donkey was suddenly lose and ran towards the 67-year old woman, who just celebrated her birthday one day earlier. The woman tumbled and although the owner of the donkey tried to hold him back, the donkey trampled on the woman.

The police accompanied the shocked husband, who had to watch the tragedy, back to the boat. It was said that he was holding the juwellery and the watch of his dead wife in his hands. The greek police now investigates against the owner of the donkey.
