The Second Annual Solid Gold USET Foundation Benefit Dinner Held at The Stadium on March 15
Wellington, FL – March 13, 2014 – The Second Annual Solid Gold USET Foundation Benefit Dinner is drawing near! The festivities will begin at 6:30 PM in the Global Pavilion at The Stadium at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center on Saturday, March 15, 2014. You won’t want to miss it!
The evening entertainment will begin with a live dressage performance in the International Arena. Then the party will move inside under the tent and continue with hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and dinner. Gardy Bloemers/Merrill Lynch Wealth Management are sponsoring the cocktail hour. Dave and Tuny Page are providing the wine for this event from their extensive wine collection, and Kim and Fred Boyer are providing the wonderful dinner for the evening.
After a ballroom dance demonstration given by professional dancers, our “Prancing with the Stars!” competition will begin. Judges Ellin Dixon Miller, Jane Savoie and Bent Jensen will critique and rank eight couples on their three-minute performances.
The Fred Astaire Dance Studio of West Palm Beach is lending some of its profe
ssional ballroom dancers to assist in a benefit event to support the United States Equestrian Dressage Team. Studio owner Doreen Scheinpflug has arranged for professional dancers Mar Martinez, Tanya Payne, Clifton Sepulveda and Michael Chaves to each be paired up with two professional riders for two performances, including riders Chris Hickey, Cesar Parra, Todd Flettrich, Katherine Bateson Chandler, Shelly Francis, Adrienne Lyle, Tina Konyot and Michael Barisone.
Each team will demonstrate one of the following dances for their routine: waltz, tango, foxtrot, salsa, rumba, swing, cha cha or hustle. Each team will perform a 90-second dance routine which will be critiqued by three guest judges. The judges are Ellin Dixon Miller, Jane Savoie and Bent Jensen, all accomplished riders themselves.
After each routine is assessed by the judges, the bidding will begin. The professional riders will be auctioned off to the highest bidder for a day of their services. Bids will also be taken for the opportunity to sit with the judges during a freestyle.
After the Stars are auctioned off, bidding at the party will begin on several very exciting packages. Five items are available for pre-bidding by registering at uset.auctionanything.com On-line pre-bidding began yesterday, Wednesday, March 5 and closes at 12:00 noon on March 15.
