During the FEI World Cup Finals in Las Vegas there was also a show class called “Duel in the desert”. In this show class it was about the fact, that three international showjumping stars such as Lucy Davis, Tanya Levorchick and Steve Guerdat changed their kind of horses and their saddles. But it wasn’t about trying out a new model – no no no, that would have been too easy. For this show class it was going out of the jumping saddle into the western saddle, and the other way around. Because also one of the three best Cowboys from the US had to prove their skills in the English way of riding. Tucker Robinson, Zane Davis and Brandon Buttars formed a team with one showjumping rider.
The “Duel in the desert” was taking part immidiately after the $75,000 Canadian Pacific Show Jumping Grand Prix of Las Vegas on saturday evening. Winner of that duel was Olympic Champion Steve Guerdat with his team mate Brandon Buttarswon. But honestly I don’t think that it was about winning or losing on that evening. It was more about the fun – for the riders and the crowd. But take a look here yourself.
