The Oslo Horse Show traditionally opens the 5*-indoor shows as well as the world cup season. The winner of friday’s biggest CSI5*-W class was maybe a little surprise because not many had him on top of the list – but he proved everyone better: Irishman Billy Twomey. In the saddle of the 13-year old grey gelding Tin Tin (v. Cavalier x Animo) he expelled with a clear round in 60.51 seconds really big names in equestrian sport to the back ranks. Runner-up was Doda de Miranda (BRA) with the 11-year old Nelson Z-daughter AD Nouvelle Europe Z without faults in 60.96 seconds, followed by Stephex Stables-rider Daniel Deusser (GER) aboard his success horse Cornet d’Amour (Cornet Obolensky x Damiani) faultless in 61.04 seconds.
Neo-Austrian Max Kühner (T) was riding the youngest horse in the whole 1.50m class with his just 8-year old Clarimo-son Chardonnay. Kühner showed a fantastic save round with calmness on this exceptional horse and finished without faults in 71.60 seconds in 13th position. Unfortunately they were the first combination not to be placed, but anyhow a super result for such a young horse.
