Italien eventing rider Sabrina Manganaro passed away today (12 April 2015) after a fall at an eventing competition in Cuceglio (ITA).
The tragic news was published on the italian national federation’s (FISE) website.
Sabrina and her mount Jack Of Mezzograno supposedly underestimated the size of the obstacle at fence 13 and fell at around 10:50 am. Sabrina was dead immediately.
Even though the the 25 year-old was attended to by doctors at the event she could not be saved. The horse is thought to be uninjured.
Sabrina’s death is the second one in Europe in a short amount of time. In February, Portuguese eventer Francisco Seabra died while competing at the Alegra Rancho Eventing Tour de Utrera in Sevilla (ESP).
