A joy shared is a joy times six

Dieter Köfler was just as successful as his teammate. Aboard the six-year old Candida (by Cancara) he was placed twice in the 1.25/1.30 m competitions and finished up in the top ranks with the talented Stakkato daughter Stakkata in a 1.40 m class. Dieter’s fast and careful partner Askaban proofed to be highly reliable once more this weekend. He finished second in Thursday’s 1.40 m opening class and was placed in the qualifier for the Casino Grand Prix on Friday (1.45 m). In the Grand Prix itself, Dieter experienced something completely new. He remained clear in the first round just like five other competitiors. Due to some severe rain and heavy storms, the jump-off had to be cancelled and the victory was shared between the six riders.
Gmoser’s winning streak at Schloss Gurhof
During the national show at Schloss Gurhof, Peter Gmoser secured one victory and top placing after another. With his youngster Bacary (by Bentley) he won two out of three young horse competitions and ended up second in the last one. His Oldenburg bred horse Salgado won the Intermediare II and came third in the Grand Prix. Another victory and two second places were achieved by Peter and the nine-year old Hanoverian stallion Royal Spirit which increased the total number of placings this weekend to eight – not bad, we would say.
