Press Release Jumping International of Monte-Carlo – Bertram Allen is definitely one of the best riders of his generation, shining by his consistency. His proves it again today by winning the major class of the day, the Prix Massimo Dutti, with his great mare Molly Malone V.

38 riders on the starting list, 12 to compete in the Jump-off, it’s finally the young Irish rider who demonstrates once again his talent and his speed on a course with tight turns. He defeats, by only 8 hundredths, Jérôme Guéry, in good shape these last months. Two times winners during the Longines Global Champions Tour of Chantilly, Belgium’s rider took all the risks to step on the winner’s platform. Germany David Will finishes third, as only two weeks ago, he won in a tie with the same Bertram Allen the opening class of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Cannes.

This victory is a good sign for tomorrow, Grand Prix’s day, as Bertram Allen is quite optimistic: “Molly Malone V feels really good here, she is in great shape, tomorrow is another day but obviously this brings us confidence. She won a great class last weekend, won again here in Monaco, it amazing”.

Earlier this afternoon, another young rider was winning the Prix de la Fédération Equestre de la Principauté de Monaco, Belgium Jos Verlooy, riding his 11y stallion, Farfelu de la Pomme. A great day of competition that ends on the Port Hercule. These two opening classes of the Jumping International of Monte-Carlo announce a captivating show night with the Longines Pro-Am Cup.
