Adriana Van Tilburg for EQWO.net – One of the two highlights of the year for the Holsteiner breed are the Holsteiner Horse days held at Elmshorn in June. During these two days spectators see the finest young Holsteiner horses!

Ridden by Maximillian Gräfe he was awarded a score of 8,8. Champion of the second part was the four year old stallion Cas Hope (Casall x Annabella – Lord Z, Stamm 425, bred by Detlef Hennings) with an 8.7 under the saddle of Takashi Haase Shibayama.
The class of the five year olds was won by Quibery (Quintero x Zenit -Caretino, Stamm 8769, bred by Hobe Magens). This very interesting Quintero son received a score of 8.4 and 8.8 under saddle of Jonas Panje. Second was also a Holsteiner Verband Stud GmbH stallion, Casaltino (Casall x Palida – Carthago, Stamm 5064, bred by Manfred von Allwöhrden) and ridden by Ferguson Burt. They received scores of 8.4 and 8.6. Jonas Panje also had success in the six year olds!
The Holsteiner Verband Stud GmbH stallion Dinken (Diarado x Inken I – Cassini I, Stamm 2294, bred by Theo Molenaers) was the fastest during a very exciting jump off and won the six year olds class. The highest score of the six year olds went to Dinar (Diamant de Semilly x Piaffe I – Contender, Stamm 4025, bred by Dr. Klaus Gumpert) with a 9.3 under the saddle of Antonia-Selina Brinkop. In the six year old class, the influence of Diamant de Semilly (Le Tot de Semilly x Venise des Cresles – Elf III) could hardly go unnoticed. Dinken’s father, Diarado, is by Diamant de Semilly.
The seven year old class was won by the Holsteiner Verband Stud GmbH stallion Casalito (Casall x Lalique II – Landgraf I, Stamm 18A2, bred by Josef Unkelbach) under the saddle of Christian Hess. The seven years olds didn’t competed for a score.

Second top price was 17.500 € for the very fashionable bred filly by Cornet Obolensky out of Roma IX – Cassini I, Stamm 1939, bred by North-Trade GmbH & Co. KG. The offspring of young stallions also sold really well. A filly by Barcley (Baloubet du Rouet x Varfella – Clearway, Stamm 238) was sold for 12.000 € and a colt by Crumble (Colman x Valenzia – Carinjo, Stamm 242) was sold for 15.000 €. The average price for foals in the auction was 2.000 € higher than last year.
Cascadello I put his mark on the Elite Mare Show
The best three year old mare of 2016 is Festel (Cascadello I x Noble Lady I – Heraldik xx, Stamm 3317) bred by Günther Fielmann. Her mother Noble Lady I was already the champion of the halfblood mares once. The reserve Champion was also by Cascadello I, Fine Lady (out of Bernadette by Cassini I, Stamm 162) bred by Detlef Hennings. The best moving mare was also by Cascadello I, Franzia (out of Wie Alme by Cassini II, Stamm 223B) bred by Kirsten Roll. Cascadello I is a popular son by Casall (out of Viviana – Clearway, Stamm 4847).
Clarimo-son wins with the five year old dressage horses
Claretto (Clarimo x Nottfelderin – Caletto I, Stamm 4847) bred by Friedrich Meyer won the class of the five year old dressage horses with a score of 7.9. The six year old dressage class was won by the Hanoverian Diviko (Desperados x Laurenzia – Laptop, bred by Carolin Heyser) with 8.0.
There was less audience than in previous years which is sad because the quality of all horses was really good. It is very informative for breeders to see the offspring of different kinds of stallions live.
