Green wave of success in Linz and Sachendorf


At the national competition in Linz-Ebelsberg, Dieter Köfler started off with a fourth place in the young horses competition (1.25 m) aboard the Holsteiner mare Bea (by Crawford) and contiuned with a sevent place on Friday and the victory in the final with jump-off on Sunday. His eight-year old mare Stakkata (by Stakkato) secured a ninth place in the 1.30 m class. With his always reliable partner Golden Gun, Dieter finished sixth in Thursday’s 1.25 m class and won the competition in two phases over 1.40 m with his feisty gelding Askaban. He trusted again in these two horses in the qualifier for the Casino Grand Prix (1.45 m) which he won again with Askaban finished fifth with Golden Gun. In the Grand Prix itself (1.50 m) Dieter and Golden Gun were eigth.

Gerfried Puck and J’Adore du Paly were also highly successful in the young horses competitions (1.25/1.30 m) and finished fifth, third and second. Also, Gerfried and Elroyal secured another fifth place in this class. With the 13-year old KWPN gelding Wladimir S, the Austrian Champion came sixth and 17th in the 1.40 m classes, with Dokio he was twelfth and seventh. Aboard his top horse Bionda (by Phin Phin) Gerfried finished eigth in the Casino Grand Prix qualifier (1.45 m) and second in the Grand Prix itself on Sunday (1.50 m).
Gerfried’s partner Katrin Pfingstl collected three ribbons with Cuela and La Charite Z in the 1.30 m classes, Alpenspan Teamcaptain Anton Martin Bauer and Zilesska were placed in a 1.40 m competition.
While her teammates were busy in Linz, Jasmin Pirker and her fantastic pony Noblesse Oblige competed at a small show in Sachendorf near their homebase. Together they won a competiton over 0.90 m and came fourth in the 0.95 m class.
