US top horse sold to Steve Jobs´daughter Eve
The 13-year old Zangersheide stallion Chill R Z has a new owner. Chill, who was developed up to five star level by Charlie Jayne (USA) is moving to the stables of Eve Jobs. In December, the daughter of the late Steve Jobs (founder of Apple) already bought Marc Houtzager’s mount Sterrehof’s Voltaire.
On his Instagram Account Charlie wrote a touching good-bye:
Chill. I do not know where to begin. You have been my partner, teammate, friend, and loyal steed for the past five years. Starting in the young horse finals in Kentucky all the way to the Olympic Games with World Cup finals, nations cups, and million dollar classes on the way, it has been one crazy ride and I wouldn’t have picked anyone else in the world to do it with. You have taught me to be more compassionate, respectful, appreciative, and have helped me grow into the man I am today. I want to thank my parents and Maura for being so unbelievably supportive throughout our entire career and that thanks branches out to the entire Our Day Farm team! I end this with happiness knowing chill is going to a great home to continue his career with North Run and wish Eve all the success!
Charlie Jaynes and Chill R Z (Chellano Z x A Lucky One) participated in the 2013 and 2014 World Cup Finals and were reservists at the Olympic Games in London 2012 and the World Equestrian Games in Caen 2014. In 2014 they were part of the winning Nations Cup Team in Dublin, in 2015 they won the 1 Million Grand Prix in Ocala.
Chill’s new owner Eve won two 2*-competitions at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Miami Beach last weekend.
