The junior and the pro in Linz
Leonard Platzer took the national show in Linz as an opportunity to present his new mount, seven-year old Holsteiner mare Barmenia, for the very first time. The debut was a success as the 17-year old European Championship contestant and the Casall-offspring finished eight in the 1.30 m class on Saturday. Alpenspan team leader and Austria’s national youth coach Anton Martin Bauer gave his comeback after a long-time injury and demonstrated, that he still knows how to do it. Aboard the eleven-year old BWP stallion Viper van Huize Ruisdael he secured two second places over 1.35/1.40 m and came fifth in the Grand Prix with jump-off on Sunday.
