Rolex Grand Prix dominated by Lucy Davis (USA)

Aboard her phenomenal Belgian horse Barron (For Pleasure), which as a five-year-old was trained at Stephex Stables for a while, she beat Karim El Zoghby from Egypt (Amelia). He had surprisingly bettered the chrono of last year’s winner Kent Farrington on Gazelle, the top talented horse that he found on Stephex Stables. In the end El Zoghby ended up second, Piergiorgio Bucci (Casallo Z) from Italy third and Kent Farrington fourth. The other double clears were Maikel van der Vleuten (VDL Groep Arera C), Kevin Staut (Silvana HDC), Harrie Smolders (Don VHP Z), Philipp Weishaupt (Cordess), Gudrun Patteet (Sea Coast Pebles Z) and Scott Brash (Hello M’Lady), the world’s number one. The fastest riders with one knock-down in the jump-off were the Stephex riders Daniel Deusser and Lorenzo de Luca aboard Cornet d’Amour and Geisha van Orshof.
