The Silver Camera goes to Leanjo de Koster

Leanjo de Koster’s photo entitled „Wall of Shadows“, with which the Dutch photographer won the Silver Camera for the best international equestrian sport photo 2014/15 on Saturday evening during the FEI European Championships Aachen 2015, has a secretive air about it. Second place went to the French photographer, Christophe Bricot, and the British photographer, Peter Nixon, followed in third place. The prizes were awarded by Hans Buschmann, Deputy Executive Director of the Rheinische Sparkassen & Giroverband Düsseldorf, and Hans Kauhsen, member of the Advisory Board of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e. V.

A jury comprising of Michael Strauch (photographer), Ludo Philippaerts (Belgian show-jumper and many-time Olympic Games participant), Andreas Müller (Executive Director, Zeitungsverlag Aachen), Erich Timmermanns (Director Advertising & PR, Sparkasse Aachen) and Frank Kemperman (Chairman of the ALRV), already made a pre-selection from among the 114 entries submitted by photographers from all over the world in July. The renowned media prize is jointly conferred by the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e. V., the Sparkasse Aachen and the Rheinische Sparkassen & Giroverband. The winner receives prize-money to the value of 2,500 Euros, with 1,000 Euros for second place and 500 Euros for third place.
