Michael Whitaker wins Bunn Leisure Trophy in Hickstead
The main competition at CSIO5* in Hickstead on Thursday was won by one of the greats of show jumping.
Under the eyes of the enthusiastic audience the British rider Michael Whitaker and his gelding Quelbora Merze won the Bunn Leisure Trophy in the time of 37.69 seconds in phase two ahead of German Christian Ahlmann in the saddle of Caruso 472. William Funnell (GBR) and his twelve-year Billy Angelo finished third in the two-phase competition over 1,50 m.
