Wansuela Suerte passed away
Wansuela Suerte, former top mount of German dressage rider Hubertus Schmidt, passed away.
The Hanoveranian mare helped Hubertus Schmidt to win gold medals at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens (GRE), the 2005 European Championships in Hagen (GER) and the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen (GER).
Wansuela Suerte (Warkant x Wachmann I) was retired from competition in 2008 and spent her retirement in Wellington/Florida (USA) at Finally Farm where she was cared for by her owner Joanne Stoudenmier. Hubertus Schmidt visited her whenever he was in Florida during the winter to train Devon Kane.
Wansuela Suerte passed away at the age of 22.
