Salone del Cavallo Americano 2017: the countdown has started!

Here we are again with a new edition of the amazing horse fair named Salone del Cavallo Americano, that this year will achieve 30 years of life, and that will again offer its winning recipe, from the 19th to the 21st may 2017: high quality sport + 360° of fun & entertainment.

Here we are again with a new edition of the amazing horse fair named Salone del Cavallo Americano, that this year will achieve 30 years of life, and that will again offer its winning recipe, from the 19th to the 21st may 2017: high quality sport + 360° of fun & entertainment.
For the second time, the event will be hosted by the magnificent facility in the Cremona Fairground, which is rapidly being confirmed as an excellent place to go for the European western riders! As a matter of fact, after having hosted the Salone del Cavallo Americano of may, and the IRHA/NRHA Reining Futurity in november, in 2017 Cremona also had the honor of inheriting the NRHA European Futurity, the most important event organized by the National Reining Horse Association in Europe, that was since ever held in the beautiful, historical German site of the Ostbayernhalle of Kreuth.
The huge horse event will absorb an area of about 80.000 Mq, with 20.000 Mq dedicated to the shopping area, 5 show pen, and 4 warm up arenas, for a overall use of 6.000 cubic metres of special sand, over 2.5 km of fences, and gallery for over 7.000 places to seat. For the competitors, (1700 riders, with around 1500 horses) it will be a very demanding show, but pervaded by the fresh and cool spring atmosphere. For the great public of visitors, western lovers, and for families, the Salone del Cavallo Americano will be an anticipation of the summer holidays, full of activities, fun and surprises!
With reference to the rich competition program, there will be, as usual, the great IRHA/NRHA Reining Derby, with two divisions, open and non pro, sub-divided in eight levels. The Derby represents one of the most important Aged Event for reining (reserved to young horses) and it will be surrounded by a consistent series of “ancillary” classes, valid for the prestigious NRHA Standings 2017. The finals will be held, as last year, on Friday and Saturday afternoon/evening.
There will be Derby time also for other two important and exciting disciplines of the western world: Reined Cow Horse and Cutting, which highly represent the real ranch work with herd and cows of the Far West cowboys. The first one will have its finals on Saturday, while on Sunday there will be all the classes of the Italian Championship. For the Cutting, Derby finals are on schedule for Saturday afternoon, while the best european riders will enter the arena in the evening, for the enthusiastic Spring Show, whose best categories, Open and Non Pro Finals, will set the thrilling ending of the day.
The Saloon will host also the best national riders also for other western disciplines, beloved by the western lovers: under the supervision of Fitetrec-Ante, there will be the Team Penning, with one stage of the national Championship, divided in two Go round, and also with a Derby on Sunday, I addition to the winning Trophy Stable show, organized for the first time last year, in The Western Horse Fair 2016. Fitetrec will also supervise the interesting and highly appreciated Mountain Trail and Western Gimkana, and in addition, new for a huge Fair, the sophisticated Performance competitions.
A very special Performance will be the one reserved to the charming Appaloosa horses, present to compete in their national championship, while we’ll have the opportunity to assist to the brand new section, reserved to ponies ridden in western style saddle: a competition reserved to the younger riders, growing rapidly in the last few years.
As in all show organized by the staff of TeamForYou, always extremely careful and concerned about technical evolutions and horse wellness, there will be a wide educational and demonstrative section regarding horsemanship and natural equitation, with a comparison among different schools and methods of training and teaching.
In the end, the entertainment section will obviously satisfy all the needs and expectations of adults and children! Surroundings, western shows, american food, great music from the States, country dance with the best italian and foreign dancer, and indeed lots of high quality shopping: for the stable, free time, and many other new interesting items.
