The young Lower Austrian rider Lena Binder and her Styrian team colleague Kathrin Pfingstl as well as the Italian Alpenspan rider Alessia Rossi showed last weekend (14-16 April 2017) in San Giovanni in Marignano (Italy) and Arezzo (Italy) that the female members of team Alpenspan are at the sharp end!
The daughter of Alpenspan Team Captain Anton Martin Bauer, eleven-year-old Lena Binder, was able to assert herself in a field of strong international riders. With her Hungarian warmblood Panni she placed fifth in the competition over 1.20/1.25 m and twelfth over 1.30 m. In the saddle of Imany VD Middelstede she competed in the international starter field of the 2-phase jumping test over 1.30 m and finished fault-free on rank 14. Katrin Pfingstl, Gerfried Puck’s partner, claimed third place with Wally in the 1.35 m finals.
In Arezzo (Italy) Alessia Rossi rode the 9-year-old Quintender’s daughter Larissa della Verdina and the 11-year-old BWP gelding Gucci DV and managed to make it three times to the jump-off. With Gucci DV she came 23rd in the Silver Tour over 1.40 m.
